Ok, I have something to say...
Due to the recent increase in the number of guys who are uneducated (no degree and not working on one) who have attempted to holla at me I felt like talking about this. I'm not interested in dating or marrying someone uneducated, really. For generations my family members didn't have education available to them and really I'm only the 2nd generation in my family to go to college. I don't want to struggle like some of my folk have struggled. My children will come from a legacy of education, and how can they do that when the man of the house doesn't have a degree and can't show them what to do after college because he doesn't know. I'm not saying that guys who are uneducated are bad people, they're just not for me. I intend to advance to having a Ph.D, so I'd really have to be with someone who sees the value in education, not someone who just says they do. My parents would look harder at me for bringing home a guy with no education than a white guy. Now of course if dude is financially stable and all of that they'd feel a little better, but honestly they want better than that for me too. In all seriousness, it's most important to them that I date a non-Catholic Christian guy... but they want me to have the total package. About the white guy thing, if he's a great guy they'd love him too... my grandparents are another story, but my parents are cool. I guess I'm writing about this up here because I can. I appreciate uneducated guys for trying to get at me, but it's just not going to work. You tell me that you're into music producing and all of that. That's cool and all, but holla back when you've made it big like Kanye and I miiiight think about it... but really, this is not about money for me. My ambition is not to be rich, it's to be educated and comfortable while doing what I feel God has put on my heart to do in life.
::sigh:: goodnight.
