Wilt or Flourish

A flower that has bloomed often in unobserved splendor to the point of wilting tends to reserve her efforts even at True Love's prompting. True Love could merely be a name, not a reality. Why go through the trouble once more of uncovering delicate, vulnerable flowers in a cold, unappreciative world as biting as weed killer without discriminating? This could be the last time it's necessary. True Love could be the ever-inviting, sustaining sunshine and refreshing liquid that she envisioned and even read about, but never trusted to be real.

*In order to not appear lovestruck(let's be real), I'm going to break down the loose metaphor. This may be obvious to some, so forgive me if your intelligence is insulted:

Flower= a person seeking love and acceptance in their true form
True Love= Jesus (that's why it remains in caps)
