weekend wrap part 2

Saturday

I got back to the dorm Saturday morning around 4:30 and I tried to finish packing, plus wash my hair and all that. It didn't take that long, but I meant to take a short, one hour nap around 6am and ended up waking up at noon. Actually I came to, I wouldn't necessarily say I woke up. I rushed to pack my car and go to the ATM and get gas. Thank goodness I was headed into the central time zone because I was running 2 hrs behind the time I had originally told Hucci I was gonna get there. It worked out though. I got there at around 1pm-ish. I really liked what I saw of Tuskegee's campus... even though we jus kinda drove around it. I'm wishin a little bit that I had gone to an HBCU. We went to the end of Shayna's softball game (after my primping cuz my hair was a hot mess). Then after trying to figure out what we'd do, we just went to Montgomery and window shopped, spent the evening with Hucci's man and then rode back to Skegee. We basically did a lot of nothing, but it was fun spending time with my sister. We never really have one on one time since I started college because when I see her we're at home surrounded by family and/or friends from high school, so it was cool and different this time. I realllly should've at least hit 28 up with a text or something out of courtesy while I was there. I do actually regret that, but you live and you learn... plus talking to him woulda meant wanting to/having to see him if at all possible, and that just wasn't the focus point of the visit. Although.... well, nevermind. That's going on another blog. :)

Sunday

I woke up with my alarm clock and dressed immediately because I was trying to get to the ATL early to start my video project, novel, and project proposal that were all due today... yeah. I got back to ATL at just before noon. My plan was to skip church and go directly to the library, but Jesus was like, naw. So I drove past campus and kept going up 75 until I reached church. I'm really glad I went, just like I always am. Pastor talked about finances... I'm definitely a spender. Going to church meant that the library would be packed around 2:30 when I got back... so I didn't go to the library and I HAD to edit the video in the library because I don't have access to anywhere else. I planned to sleep all of Sunday and then stay up all night to work on it, but I couldn't stay asleep long enough, I was hungry, I started getting discouraged as to whether I could even do the stupid video project. Then I got sleepy again and I also decided at 3:30am that it was officially too late for me to walk to the library. I slept until 6am and then I got to the library, which is where I am now.

Monday (thus far)

Did I finish any of my work that was due today? Yes, the novel part.. and barely. My poetry teacher sent me home to sleep too, because he said I looked exhausted. I have a lot of work due for Wednesday now, but after that please believe I'm chillin...
