I went to the grocery store today on $5 right... spent $4.26 actually... good for me.
But... I just got a call offering me a sweeeeeet graduate assistant position. YES! God is really laying out the professional red carpet for me. It's just in my more personal life where He seems to be turning his back on me, though I know that's not the situation...but still. Anyways, getting this assistantship is like soooooo prayer answered in a major way on so many different levels, for real. I'm going to be madd frugal though because I want a house. I would like to own something that is not a cubby hole surrounded by other cubbies. I don't have to have a pool or tennis court right now like I do at my apt. I'm already wanting to not live in such close quarters worrying about disturbing the neighbors if I have loud guests. Actually by the time this lease is up I want to leave this place. If things line up appropriately professionally and financially that might be a somewhat realistic goal, but I have to live lightly and become super saver... starting with my teacher pay for Challenge. I have all kinds of ideas as to how to make and save money most effectively, but I know it would be wise to check out this book by Dr. Celvia Stovall (or Dr. Celvia S. Dixon) called Financial Facts for Females and talk to some people at church as well. :)
Happy Friday
