An excerpt from Michelle McKinney Hammond and Joel Brooks' book The Unspoken rules of Love:
If you get a man through your pursuit, you will never feel secure because you did the picking.... We can confidently love Christ because the Bible says that He first loved us. He chose us and pursued us.... Proof of desire is pursuit. If he's not pursuing you, he doesn't want you.
***That is not to say one should endeavor to lure men, or that every man that pursues you is who God intends for you. I just wanted to post this excerpt because it's in the book I'm reading and I like its basic point.
