My sister Shamonique (18) graduated from HS this weekend and I am so proud of her. She has grown up to be such a lovely young lady. I love her to death. She's going to the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) this August and she will be studying to become a pharmacist. That's just so wonderful. Her graduation and party were on Sunday and she seemed so happy. I really was ecstatic for her. I swear sometimes I feel like I can just live through my sisters because I love to see them happy...especially when they are experiencing something I didn't experience or something that wasn't such a great experience. I want life to be so much better for them than it's been for me...not that my life is bad or anything I have a great life, I just want their lives to be picture perfect. I mean of course they will face adverse situations to make them stronger and they will make mistakes but I really want the ABSOLUTE best for them both.
This weekend really was great though because my two families came together to celebrate Shamonique's accomplishment and I got to see my sisters both at the same time and my mom, step mom, dad and step dad got along really well. It was a very sweet and happy time. That's probably the happiest I've ever been in New Orleans. My whole family story is such a soft spot for me and my early years in New Orleans. Although I was very happy there was still a little bit of a blemish on my trip...I was really hurtful to my sweetie before. I am not very good at thinking before I speak(to those i am closest to) for some reason I don't understand...
i am tired now (2 journals back to back) i will provide an itemized list of what i did and where i went in New Orleans later on this week... a "part 2" if you will... :o)
g'night
