I should pray for the thorn? That's an interesting notion Often the hardest solution to our problem is the right one. I know I'm supposed to love everyone as God loves me and forgive has He forgave me, but if there was ever a time where I needed God to love someone for me, this is it. If there was ever a time where I had deep resentment, this is it too. I have spent so much time trying to be at peace with everyone and now here I am. Resentment and hate get you nowhere. They only hold you prisoner. If you resent someone. It's not their problem, but your own. These things I know, but so hard is the lesson: "... I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."-Luke 6:27-28 Yeah, Jesus said that and that's what I have to rely on Him to do. It's so human to retaliate when others treat you like crap or don't regard you as a person, but I can't return bad treatment for bad treatment. God hasn't called me to do that. He's called me, He's called us to pray for those especially who cause us strife. He doesn't mean pray them harm, He means pray the best for them in their lives, so now I know what I have to do. It's amazing what a little searching on biblegateway.com will do for you.
